The third grade teachers have given their classes a biography assignment. Each student was to pick a couple of people they wanted to do a research project on. They came to the library to find a book on one of the two people. They sent the students in groups of five. I helped them find the books they wanted and if we didn’t have the book (or another student had checked it out already) we did an Internet search to help them find information on their person. I was able to print some things out and also give the students the web addresses (if necessary) so they could look things up at home.
